1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1701
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1701, AS AMENDED,
3 by inserting above Section 950 the following:
4 "Section 905. Upon the payment of the sum of $20,750 to
5 the Quincy Veterans Home Fund, the Director of the Department
6 of Veterans' Affairs is authorized to convey to Refreshment
7 Services, Inc., an Illinois corporation organized under the
8 laws of Delaware and registered to do business in Illinois,
9 by quit claim deed the following described real property:
10 A part of E. A. Dudley's Addition to the City of Quincy,
11 a subdivision of a part of the Southeast quarter of Section
12 26 in Township 1 South of the Base Line and in Range 9 West
13 of the Fourth Principal Meridian, in the City of Quincy,
14 Adams County, Illinois, being more particularly and described
15 as follows:
16 Commencing at the northeast corner of Block 36 of said E.
17 A. Dudley's Addition, said point being a point on the west
18 line of North 12th Street a record distance of 33 feet west
19 and 429 feet north of the southeast corner of said Section
20 26, thence westerly along the north line of said Block 36 a
21 distance of 16 feet to the Point of Beginning, thence from
22 said Point of Beginning continuing westerly along the north
23 line of said Block 36 a distance of 450.75 feet to the

1 northwest corner of said Block 36, thence southerly along the
2 west line of said Block 36 a distance of 216.00 feet to the
3 northeast corner of property conveyed to the City of Quincy
4 as recorded in Book 463 of Deeds at Page 705 and 706 in the
5 Office of the Adams County Recorder of Deed, thence westerly
6 along the north line of said City of Quincy property a
7 distance of 310.00 feet, thence northerly parallel with the
8 west line of said Block 36 a distance of 342.00 feet, thence
9 easterly parallel with the north line of said Block 36 a
10 distance of 655.15 feet to a point on a line which deflects
11 northwesterly from the west line of said North 12th Street at
12 an angle of 45 degrees, thence southerly parallel with the
13 west line of said North 12th Street a distance of 20 feet to
14 the Point of Beginning, containing 3.61 acres, more or less.
15 The Director of the Department of Veterans' Affairs shall
16 obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act
17 containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective
18 date, and this Section within 60 days after its effective
19 date and, upon receipt of the payment required by this
20 Section, shall record the certified document in the
21 Recorder's Office in Adams County.".
