 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1680

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1680 as follows:
 3    by replacing everything after the enacting  clause  with  the
 4    following:

 5        "Section  5.  The  Code  of Civil Procedure is amended by
 6    changing Section 7-103.53 and by  adding  Sections  7-103.97,
 7    7-103.98,    7-103.99,   7-103.100,   7-103.101,   7-103.102,
 8    7-103.103, 7-103.104, 7-103.105, and 7-103.106 as follows:

 9        (735 ILCS 5/7-103.53)
10        Sec.  7-103.53.  Quick-take;  Village  of  Elmwood  Park.
11    Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for  a
12    period  of 3 years after July 1, 2000 1997, by the Village of
13    Elmwood  Park  to  be  used  only  for  the  acquisition   of
14    commercially zoned property within the area designated as the
15    Tax  Increment Redevelopment Project Area by ordinance passed
16    and approved on December 15, 1986, as well as to be used only
17    for the acquisition of commercially zoned property located at
18    the northwest corner of North Avenue and  Harlem  Avenue  and
19    commercially  zoned  property located at the southwest corner
20    of  Harlem  Avenue  and  Armitage  Avenue  for  redevelopment
21    purposes, as set forth in Division 74.3 of Article 11 of  the
22    Illinois Municipal Code.

 3        Sec. 7-103.97.  Quick-take; City of Northlake. Quick-take
 4    proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a period of 2
 5    years  after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
 6    91st General Assembly  by  the  City  of  Northlake  for  the
 7    acquisition  of  the  south 6 feet of a parking area abutting
 8    the state right-of-way for Route 64 (North Avenue) located in
 9    the City of Northlake in Cook County in order to re-align the
10    service road and create additional parking.

12        Sec. 7-103.98.  Quick-take; Fox Metro  Water  Reclamation
13    District.   Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may be
14    used by the Fox Metro Water Reclamation District for a period
15    of 12 months after the effective date of this amendatory  Act
16    of  the  91st  General  Assembly  for  the acquisition of the
17    following described property for the purpose of  constructing
18    gravity  interceptor  sewers  and a pump station to force the
19    main to convey sanitary sewer flow from the Southwest Service
20    Area to the existing Fox  Metro  Water  Reclamation  District
21    wastewater treatment plant:
