1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1658
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1658 on page 2 by
3 inserting immediately below line 26 the following:
4 "(d) A certificate of authority that is in effect on the
5 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 91st General
6 Assembly and that was issued pursuant to Section 4a of the
7 Workers' Compensation Act or Section 4a of the Workers'
8 Occupational Diseases Act to a group self-insurer shall
9 remain in effect under this Article. Such group self-insurer
10 shall then be deemed to be a qualified group workers'
11 compensation pool and shall be subject to this Article."; and
12 on page 3, line 30, by changing "policy" to "policy of
13 insurance"; and
14 on page 4, lines 16 and 23, by changing "Administrator" each
15 time it appears to "administrator"; and
16 on page 4, line 30, by changing "provided" to "provided and
17 fees to be charged"; and
18 on page 4, line 31, by changing "Administrator" to
19 "administrator"; and
20 on page 4, line 33, by changing "Administrator" to
21 "administrator"; and

1 on page 6, line 11, by changing "issuing" to "issuing and
2 maintaining pool"; and
3 on page 6, line 12, by deleting "to pools"; and
4 on page 6, by replacing line 13 with the following:
5 "(a) The"; and
6 on page 8, line 21, by changing "expertise" to "character,
7 expertise"; and
8 on page 9 by replacing line 11 with the following:
9 "Article."; and
10 on page 14, line 20, by changing "126.7" to "126.7 of this
11 Code"; and
12 on page 15, line 23, by changing "payments" to "and medical
13 service payments"; and
14 on page 16, line 13, by changing "due" to "and medical
15 service payments due"; and
16 on page 17, lines 14 and 17, by changing "administrator" each
17 time it appears to "trustees"; and
18 on page 18 by replacing lines 25 and 26 with the following:
19 "compensation pool is not in compliance with this Article,
20 the Director shall".
