91_SR0050enr 91SR0050 Enrolled 1 STATE OF ILLINOIS 2 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY 3 SENATE 4 Senate Resolution No. 50 5 Offered by Senator Steve Rauschenberger 6 WHEREAS, The Department of Labor Advisory Board has been 7 created by Section 6.02 of the Civil Administrative Code of 8 Illinois; and 9 WHEREAS, Section 6.02 of the Civil Administrative Code of 10 Illinois provides that the Advisory Board shall be composed 11 of 13 members, including 5 representatives of employees, 5 12 representatives of employers, and 3 public members; and 13 WHEREAS, The terms of 7 of the members of the Department 14 of Labor Advisory Board have expired; therefore, be it 15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we urge the Governor 17 to appoint members to fill the 7 expired positions on the 18 Department of Labor Advisory Board; and be it further 19 RESOLVED, That we urge the Governor to select members who 20 deal regularly with the Department of Labor or represent 21 entities that deal regularly with the Department of Labor; 22 and be it further 23 RESOLVED, That we urge the Department of Labor Advisory 24 Board to meet at least once every 3 months; and be it further 25 RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be delivered to 26 the Governor and to the Director of Labor. 91SR0050 Enrolled -2- 1 Adopted by the Senate, March 23, 1999. 2 _______________________ 3 President of the Senate 4 _______________________ 5 Secretary of the Senate
