"AN ACT regarding appropriations and 5 reappropriations," Public Act 91-8, approved June 2, 1999, is 6 amended by changing Sections 230 and 270 of Article 1 as 7 follows: 8 (P.A. 91-8, Art. 1, Sec. 230) 9 Sec. 230. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as may 10 be necessary, is appropriated from the Fund for Illinois' 11 Future to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs 12Board of Higher Educationfor a grant to Dupage Countythe13Victoria Foundationfor Career Connector Program start up 14 costs. 15 (P.A. 91-8, Art. 1, Sec. 270) 16 Sec. 270. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as 17 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fund for Illinois' 18 Future to the Board of Higher Education for a grant to DePaul 19 University for technology scholarships and the High Tech 20 Workforce Crisis ProgramHigh-Tech work force program21scholarships for Information Technology workers. 22 Section 2. The sum of $90,000, or so much thereof as may 27 be necessary, is appropriated from the Fund for Illinois' 28 Future to Northern Illinois University for a grant to the SB618 Enrolled -2- BOB-BOB2000 1 Division of Public Administration to provide technical 2 assistance to units of local governmentfor hiring interns3through the Masters in Public Administration Program. 4 Section 3. The amount of $40,000, or so much thereof as 13 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fund for Illinois' 14 Future to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs 15 for a one-time grant to theVillage of Galewood for the16 Galewood-Montclare Community Organization. 17 (P.A. 91-20, Art. 16, Sec. 256) 18 Sec. 256. The amount of $40,000, or so much thereof as 19 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fund for Illinois' 20 Future to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs 21 for a grant to the Montclare-Elmwood Park Chamber of Commerce 22 for all costs allocated with Montclare-Elmwood streetscraping 23 and lamp post banners. 24 (P.A. 91-20, Art. 16, Sec. 270) 25 Sec. 270. The sum of $75,000,000, or so much thereof as 18 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois 19 Bond Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs 20 for grants to governmental unitsof local governmentand 21 educational facilities and non-profit organizations for all 22 costs associated with infrastructure improvements. 23 (P.A. 91-20, Art. 40, Div. The reappropriation in this Division 25 continues an appropriation initially made for the fiscal year 26 beginning July 1, 1997, for the purpose of the Build Illinois 27 Program as set forth below: 28 (P.A. 91-20, Art. 40, Sec. 32) 29 Sec. 32. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as SB618 Enrolled -61- BOB-BOB2000 1 may be necessary and remains unexpended on June 30, 1999, 2 from an appropriation heretofore made for such purpose in 3 Article 92, Section 32 of Public Act 90-0585, is 4 reappropriated to the University of IllinoisCapital5Development Boardfrom the Build Illinois Bond Fund to plan 6 for a medical school replacement at the University of 7 Illinois at Chicago. 8 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 9 becoming law.
