1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3548
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3548 on page 10, by
3 replacing lines 26 through 28 with the following:
4 "exceptional circumstances. The court may, in its discretion,
5 grant an additional continuance not to exceed 21 days when,
6 in its discretion, the court determines that such a
7 continuance is necessary in order to provide the recipient
8 with an examination pursuant to Section 3-803 or 3-804 of
9 this Act, to provide the recipient with a trial by jury as
10 provided in Section 3-802 of this Act, or to arrange for the
11 substitution of counsel as provided for by the Illinois
12 Supreme Court Rules continuances if agreed to by all parties.
