ELEC CD-REQUIRE OPTICAL SCAN                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Election Code.  Beginning with elections held in  2002      
   and  at all elections thereafter, requires election authorities to use      
   Precinct Tabulation Optical Scan Technology voting systems. Amends the      
   State Mandates Act to require  implementation  without  reimbursement.      
   Effective immediately.
