92_SJ0042enr 92SJ0042 Enrolled LRB9210797NTpk 1 STATE OF ILLINOIS 2 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY 3 SENATE 4 Senate Joint Resolution No. 42 5 Offered by Senator Dan Cronin 6 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its 7 Report on Waiver of School Code Mandates, dated September 28, 8 2001, with the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the 9 Secretary of State of Illinois as required by Section 2-3.25g 10 of the School Code; and 11 WHEREAS, We are disapproving school district requests for 12 waivers relating to substitute certificates because Public 13 Act 92-184 just became law on July 27, 2001, allowing certain 14 substitute teachers to teach for more than 90 days, and this 15 change in current law is for only 3 years while the waiver 16 request is for 5 years; therefore, be it 17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 18 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF 19 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that each of the school 20 district waiver requests identified below by school district 21 name and by the identifying number and subject area of the 22 waiver request as summarized in the report filed by the State 23 Board of Education is disapproved: 24 (1) Mount Prospect SD 57 - Cook, WM 100-2072, 25 statement of affairs; 26 (2) Lake Bluff ESD 65 - Lake, WM 100-1885-3, 27 substitute certificates; 28 (3) Ridgewood CHSD 234 - Cook, WM 100-1890, 29 substitute certificates; 30 (4) Savanna CUD 300 - Carroll, WM 100-1891, 31 substitute certificates; 32 (5) Norridge SD 80 - Cook, WM100-1914-3, substitute 33 certificates; and 34 (6) East Prairie SD 73 - Cook, WM 100-1986, 92SJ0042 Enrolled -2- LRB9210797NTpk 1 substitute certificates. 2 Adopted by the Senate, November 28, 2001. 3 _______________________ 4 President of the Senate 5 _______________________ 6 Secretary of the Senate 7 Concurred in by the House of Representatives, November 8 28, 2001. 9 _________________________ 10 Speaker of House of 11 Representatives 12 _________________________ 13 Clerk of House of 14 Representatives
