The sum of $2,305,000, or so much thereof 7 as may be necessary, respectively, is appropriated from the 8 General Revenue Fund and the sum of $16,723,400, or so much 9 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is appropriated 10 from the Mental Health Fund to the Department of Human 11 Services for payment of workers' compensation claims. 12 Expenditures from appropriations for treatment and 13 expense may be made after the Department of Human Services 14 has certified that the injured person was employed and that 15 the nature of the injury is compensable in accordance with 16 the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act or the 17 Workers' Occupational Diseases Act, and then has determined 18 the amount of such compensation to be paid to the injured 19 person. Expenditures for this purpose may be made by the 20 Department of Human Services without regard to the fiscal 21 year in which benefit or service was rendered or cost 22 incurred as allowable or provided by the Workers' 23 Compensation Act or the Workers' Occupational Diseases Act. 24 Section 6.2.
