1 AN ACT concerning higher education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended
5 by adding Section 2-16.07 as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 805/2-16.07 new)
7 Sec. 2-16.07. Career and Technical Education Fund. The
8 Career and Technical Education Fund is created as a special
9 fund in the State treasury. All money in the Career and
10 Technical Education Fund may be used, subject to
11 appropriation, by the State Board for operational expenses
12 associated with the administration of Career and Technical
13 Education, for payment of Career and Technical Education
14 grants to colleges, and for payment of costs relating to
15 State leadership activities, as provided by the United States
16 Department of Education.
17 Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
18 Section 5.570 as follows:
19 (30 ILCS 105/5.570 new)
20 Sec. 5.570. The Career and Technical Education Fund.
21 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
22 becoming law.
