Amend Senate Bill 1545 as follows: 3 on page 2, line 28, after the period, by inserting the 4 following: 5 "However, for fire protection issues, only one one-year 6 extension may be made, and no other provision of this Code or 7 an applicable code may supersede this requirement."; and 8 on page 6, line 13, after "department", by inserting "or fire 9 protection district"; and 10 on page 6, line 14, by replacing "school board" with "fire 11 department or fire protection district"; and 12 on page 6, line 15, after "department", by inserting "or fire 13 protection district"; and 14 on page 6, by replacing line 18 with the following: 15 "manner if any corrective action must be taken. Upon being 16 notified by the regional superintendent of schools that 17 corrective action must be taken to resolve a violation, the 18 school board must take corrective action within one year, 19 except that any violation that presents imminent danger must 20 be addressed immediately.";and 21 on page 6, immediately below line 19, by inserting the -2- LRB9211370NTsbam 1 following: 2 "Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding 3 Section 8.26 as follows: 4 (30 ILCS 805/8.26 new) 5 Sec. 8.26. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 6 and 8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required 7 for the implementation of any mandate created by this 8 amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly.".
