1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 817
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 817 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT in relation to public aid."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
8 Section 5.545 as follows:
9 (30 ILCS 105/5.545 new)
10 Sec. 5.545. The Medicaid Buy-In Program Revolving Fund.
11 Section 10. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
12 adding Section 12-10.5 as follows:
13 (305 ILCS 5/12-10.5 new)
14 Sec. 12-10.5. Medicaid Buy-In Program Revolving Fund.
15 (a) The Medicaid Buy-In Program Revolving Fund is
16 created as a special fund in the State treasury. The Fund
17 shall consist of cost-sharing payments made by individuals
18 pursuant to the Medicaid Buy-In Program established under
19 paragraph 11 of Section 5-2 of this Code. All earnings on

1 moneys in the Fund shall be credited to the Fund.
2 (b) Moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated to the
3 Department to pay the costs of administering the Medicaid
4 Buy-In Program, including payments for medical assistance
5 benefits provided to Program participants. The Department
6 shall adopt rules specifying the particular purposes for
7 which the moneys in the Fund may be spent and the amounts
8 that may be spent for those purposes.
9 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
10 becoming law.".
