1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 489
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 489, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. The Farm Mutual Insurance Company Act of
6 1986 is amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 120/10.5 new)
8 Sec. 10.5. Adjustment of claims in excess of $50,000.
9 The agent who sold the policy may not act as the adjuster for
10 the adjustment of any claim under the policy in excess of
11 $50,000.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.".
