1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 489
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 489, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. The Farm Mutual Insurance Company Act of
6 1986 is amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 120/10.5 new)
8 Sec. 10.5. Adjustment of claims in excess of $50,000. A
9 company must utilize the services of a public insurance
10 adjuster licensed under Article XXXI 3/4 of the Illinois
11 Insurance Code for the adjustment of all claims in excess of
12 $50,000.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14 becoming law.".
