1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5375
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 5375 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
5 changing Section 8-11-1.2 as follows:
6 (65 ILCS 5/8-11-1.2) (from Ch. 24, par. 8-11-1.2)
7 Sec. 8-11-1.2. Definition. As used in Sections
8 8-11-1.3, 8-11-1.4 and 8-11-1.5 of this Act, "public
9 infrastructure" means municipal roads and streets, access
10 roads, bridges, and sidewalks; waste disposal systems; and
11 water and sewer line extensions, water distribution and
12 purification facilities, storm water drainage and retention
13 facilities, and sewage treatment facilities. In addition,
14 "public infrastructure" means public school buildings if the
15 voters of a municipality approved a referendum on March 19,
16 2002 allowing revenue received from the Municipal Retailer's
17 Occupation Tax to be dedicated to the annual debt service of
18 bonds issued for the construction of a new high school.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.".
