92_HB5375ccr001 SRS92HB5375NCcpccr1 1 92ND GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2 FIRST CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT 3 ON HOUSE BILL 5375 4 ------------------------------------------------------------- 5 ------------------------------------------------------------- 6 To the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the 7 House of Representatives: 8 We, the conference committee appointed to consider the 9 differences between the houses in relation to Senate 10 Amendment Nos. 1, 2, and 3 to House Bill 5375, recommend the 11 following: 12 (1) that the Senate recede from Senate Amendments Nos. 13 1, 2, and 3; and 14 (2) that House Bill 5375 be amended by replacing 15 everything after the enacting clause with the following: 16 "Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by 17 changing Section 8-11-1.2 as follows: 18 (65 ILCS 5/8-11-1.2) (from Ch. 24, par. 8-11-1.2) 19 Sec. 8-11-1.2. Definition. As used in Sections 20 8-11-1.3, 8-11-1.4 and 8-11-1.5 of this Act, "public 21 infrastructure" means municipal roads and streets, access 22 roads, bridges, and sidewalks; waste disposal systems; and 23 water and sewer line extensions, water distribution and 24 purification facilities, storm water drainage and retention 25 facilities, and sewage treatment facilities. For purposes of 26 referenda authorizing the imposition of taxes by the City of 27 DuQuoin under Sections 8-11-1.3, 8-11-1.4, and 8-11-1.5 of 28 this Act that are approved in November, 2002, "public 29 infrastructure" shall also include public schools. 30 (Source: P.A. 91-51, eff. 6-30-99.) 31 Section 99.
