1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 616
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 616, by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 1. The following named sums, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and
6 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the
7 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Arts
8 Council:
9 Payable from the General Revenue Fund:
10 For Personal Services ........................ $ 1,027,500
11 For Employee Retirement Contributions
12 Paid by Employer ............................ 41,100
13 For State Contributions to State
14 Employees' Retirement Contributions ......... 99,800
15 For State Contributions to
16 Social Security ............................. 78,600
17 For Contractual Services ..................... 129,600
18 For Travel ................................... 25,300
19 For Commodities .............................. 10,400
20 For Printing ................................. 48,200
21 For Equipment ................................ 2,000
22 For Electronic Data Processing ............... 21,300
23 For Telecommunications Services .............. 28,100

4 Section 2. The following named sums, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and
6 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Illinois
7 Arts Council to enhance the cultural environment in Illinois:
8 Payable from General Revenue Fund:
9 For Grants and Financial Assistance for
10 Arts Organizations .......................... $6,250,000
11 For Grants and Financial Assistance for
12 Special Constituencies ...................... 2,272,100
13 For Grants and Financial Assistance for
14 Arts Education .............................. 1,157,500
15 Total $9,679,600
16 Payable from Illinois Arts Council
17 Federal Grant Fund:
18 For Grants and Programs to Enhance
19 the Cultural Environment ......................$ 700,000
20 Section 3. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as
21 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
22 Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for the purpose of funding
23 administrative and grant expenses associated with humanities
24 programs and related activities.
25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
26 1, 1999.".
