The following named amounts, or so much 5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects 6 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the 7 General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Community College Board 8 for ordinary and contingent expenses: 9 For Personal Services......................... $ 1,036,400 10 For State Contributions to Social 11 Security, for Medicare....................... 11,700 12 For Employee Retirement Contributions 13 Paid by Employer............................. 15,100 14 For Contractual Services...................... 343,700 15 For Travel.................................... 50,900 16 For Commodities............................... 8,200 17 For Printing.................................. 23,600 18 For Equipment................................. 11,800 19 For Electronic Data Processing................ 540,800 20 For Telecommunications........................ 39,100 21 For Operation of Automotive 22 Equipment.................................... 600 23 Total $2,081,900 24 Section 10. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 9 Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for the 10 development of core values and leadership initiatives. 11 Section 20. The sum of $13,000,000, or so much thereof 12 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois 13 Community College Board Contracts and Grants Fund to the 14 Illinois Community College Board to be expended under the 15 terms and conditions associated with the moneys being 16 received. 17 Section 25. The following named amounts, or so much 18 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 19 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Community 20 College Board for distribution to qualifying public community 21 colleges for the purposes specified: 22 Base operating grants......................... $143,795,400 23 Small college grants.......................... 1,800,000 24 Equalization grants........................... 67,796,100 25 Special population grants..................... 12,300,000 26 Workforce preparation grants.................. 12,803,300 27 Advanced technology 28 equipment grants............................. 12,250,000 29 Retirees health 30 insurance grants............................. 700,000 31 Performance based initiatives grants.......... 2,747,500 SB590 Engrossed -3- LRB9102831KBkbA 1 Deferred maintenance grants................... 6,525,000 2 Total $260,717,300 3 Section 30. The sum of $36,127,200, or so much thereof 4 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 5 Assistance Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for 6 distribution as credit hour grants. 7 Section 35. The sum of $25,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 9 Assistance Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a 10 grant to the Illinois Occupational Information Coordinating 11 Committee. 12 Section 40. The sum of $175,000, or so much thereof as 13 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 14 Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for awarding 15 scholarships to graduates of the Lincoln's Challenge Program. 16 Section 45. The sum of $1,500,000, or so much thereof as 17 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Community 18 College Board from the AFDC Opportunities Fund for the 19 administration of the Opportunities program and grants to 20 colleges, including reimbursement for costs incurred in prior 21 years. 22 Section 60. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as 23 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Video Conferencing 24 User Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for video 25 conferencing expenses. 26 Section 65. The following named amounts, or so much 27 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects 28 and purposes hereinafter named, of Titles I, IIA, and IIC Job SB590 Engrossed -4- LRB9102831KBkbA 1 Training Partnership Act funds, are appropriated from the 2 Illinois Community College Board Fund to the Illinois 3 Community College Board: 4 For operations................................ $285,200 5 For 80% Subgrant/Project Grants to colleges... 1,408,500 6 Total $1,693,700 7 No contract shall be entered into or obligation incurred by 8 the Board for any expenditures authorized herein, until the 9 amounts have been approved in writing by the Department of 10 Commerce and Community Affairs. 11 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 12 1, 1999.
