1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 585
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 585, by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT regarding appropriations."; and by replacing
5 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
6 "Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof
7 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and
8 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the General
9 Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois
10 University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of
11 Southern Illinois University for the fiscal year ending June
12 30, 1999:
13 For Personal Services, including
14 payment to the University for
15 personal services costs incurred
16 during the fiscal year....................... $156,267,300
17 For State Contributions to
18 Social Security.............................. 1,658,900
19 For Contractual Services...................... 19,081,700
20 For Travel.................................... 437,300
21 For Commodities............................... 1,711,200
22 For Equipment................................. 7,413,100

13 Southern Illinois University to meet the ordinary and
14 contingent expenses of Southern Illinois University for the
15 fiscal year ending June 30, 1999:

32 Section 15. The sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as

1 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
2 business on June 30, 1998, from an appropriation heretofore
3 made for that purpose in Article 10, Section 15 of Public Act
4 90-10, is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
5 the General Revenue Fund for renovation and replacement of
6 the East St. Louis Center of Southern Illinois University.
7 Section 9999. Effective date. This Act takes effect
8 July 1, 1999.".
