91_SB0582eng SB582 Engrossed LRB9103478NTsb 1 AN ACT regarding appropriations. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The sum of $635,541,900, or so much thereof 5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 6 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois 7 for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law for the 8 fiscal year ending June 30, 2000. 9 Section 10. The sum of $77,000,000, or so much there of 10 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 11 Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of the University of 12 Illinois for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law 13 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000. 14 Section 15. The sum of $994,100, or so much thereof as 15 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention 16 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois 17 for the purpose of maintaining the Illinois Fire Service 18 Institute, paying the expenses and providing the facilities 19 and structures incident thereto, including payment to the 20 University for personal services and related costs incurred 21 during the fiscal year. 22 Section 20. The sum of $290,000, or so much thereof as 23 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Real Estate 24 Research and Education Fund to the Board of Trustees of the 25 University of Illinois for the ordinary and contingent 26 expenses, including scholarships and payment to the 27 University for personal services and related costs incurred 28 during the fiscal year, of the Office of Real Estate 29 Research. The sum of $2,700,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, and remains unexpended on June 30, 1999, 3 from an appropriation heretofore made for such purpose in 4 Article 7, Section 60 of Public Act 88-0551, is 5 reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Board 6 of Trustees of the University of Illinois to acquire and 7 develop land for expansion of the Chicago campus, including 8 demolition, landscaping and site improvements, planning, 9 construction, remodeling, extension and modification of 10 campus utility systems, and such other expenses as may be 11 necessary to construct a public safety and transportation 12 facility and to develop student recreational areas. 13 Section 30. The sum of $6,924,300, or so much thereof as 14 may be necessary, and remains unexpended on June 30, 1999, 15 from an appropriation heretofore made for such purpose in 16 Article 23, Section 35, of Public Act 90-0585, is 17 reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Board 18 of Trustees of the University of Illinois to plan for all 19 aspects of construction and to acquire and develop land, 20 including demolition, landscaping, site improvements, 21 extension and modification of campus utility systems, 22 relocation of programs, and such other expenses as may be 23 necessary to construct a College of Medicine building in 24 Chicago. 25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 26 1, 1999.
