1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3873
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3873, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4 No. 2, on page 49, below line 4, by inserting the following:
5 "On or before February 1, 2001, the Department of
6 Agriculture shall cause the following notice to be posted in
7 a prominently visible place on each retail dispensing device
8 that is used to dispense motor fuel or gasohol in the State
9 of Illinois: "The State's portion of the sales tax on motor
10 fuel and gasohol was eliminated by Public Act (insert
11 number), effective January 1, 2001." The notice shall be
12 done in contrasting colors with block letters at least 1/2
13 inch in height and 1/4 inch in width, and not more than one
14 inch in height and 1/2 inch in width, and shall be visible to
15 customers.".
