91_HB2147enr HB2147 Enrolled LRB9105004DHmg 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Promotion Act. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Illinois Promotion Act is amended by 5 adding Section 4b as follows: 6 (20 ILCS 665/4b new) 7 Sec. 4b. Coordinating Committee. There is created a 8 Coordinating Committee of State agencies involved with 9 tourism in the State of Illinois. The Committee shall 10 consist of the Director of Commerce and Community Affairs as 11 chairman, the Lieutenant Governor, the Secretary of 12 Transportation or his or her designee, and the head executive 13 officer or his or her designee of the following: the Historic 14 Preservation Agency; the Department of Natural Resources; the 15 Department of Agriculture; the Illinois Arts Council; the 16 Illinois Community College Board; the Board of Higher 17 Education; and the Grape and Wine Resources Council. The 18 Committee shall also include 4 members of the Illinois 19 General Assembly, one of whom shall be named by the Speaker 20 of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be named 21 by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, one 22 of whom who shall be named by the President of the Senate, 23 and one of whom shall be named by the Minority Leader of the 24 Senate. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and at 25 other times as called by the chair. The Committee shall 26 coordinate the promotion and development of tourism 27 activities throughout State government.
