 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  School  Code by changing Section
 2    30-16.3.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  School  Code  is  amended  by changing
 6    Section 30-16.3 as follows:

 7        (105 ILCS 5/30-16.3) (from Ch. 122, par. 30-16.3)
 8        Sec. 30-16.3.  Availability of Scholarships. Scholarships
 9    shall be awarded on the following basis:
10        (a)  One scholastic scholarship to an eligible  recipient
11    from each private junior college and public community college
12    which has a total enrollment of less than 500 students.
13        (b)  Two  scholarships  to  eligible recipients from each
14    private junior college and public community college which has
15    an enrollment of 500 or more, but less than 1,000, students.
16        (c)  Three  scholarships  to  eligible  recipients   from
17    private  junior colleges and public community colleges having
18    an enrollment of 1,000, or more, students.
19        (d)  The equivalent of 10 Ten scholarships per class, per
20    branch of service, each academic year, to eligible recipients
21    who have  completed  the  prior  scholastic  courses  in  the
22    university  in which the eligible recipient is to enroll in a
23    Reserve Officer's Training Corps program.

25        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
26    becoming law.
