1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 934
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 934 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of
5 Marriage Act is amended by adding Section 505.3 as follows:
6 (750 ILCS 5/505.3 new)
7 Sec. 505.3. Pro se petitions for support and support
8 enforcement. The circuit court shall provide, through the
9 office of the clerk of the circuit court, simplified forms
10 and clerical assistance to help with the writing and filing
11 of a petition seeking to establish or enforce a child support
12 order by any person not represented by counsel. This
13 assistance may also be provided by the State's Attorney.
14 Section 10. The Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 is
15 amended by adding Section 7.5 as follows:
16 (750 ILCS 45/7.5 new)
17 Sec. 7.5. Pro se petitions to establish parentage and
18 support. The circuit court shall provide, through the office
19 of the clerk of the circuit court, simplified forms and
20 clerical assistance to help with the writing and filing of an

1 action to determine the existence of the father and child
2 relationship, and a petition to establish or enforce a child
3 support order by any person not represented by counsel. This
4 assistance may also be provided by the State's Attorney.".
