91_HB0249eng HB0249 Engrossed LRB9100712RCks 1 AN ACT to amend the Criminal Code of 1961 by adding 2 Section 11-23. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by 6 adding Section 11-23 as follows: 7 (720 ILCS 5/11-23 new) 8 Sec. 11-23. Posting of child identifying information on a 9 pornographic Internet site. 10 (a) A person at least 18 years of age who discloses on 11 an adult obscenity or child pornography Internet site the 12 name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address of a 13 person under 18 years of age at the time of the commission of 14 the offense is guilty of the offense of posting of child 15 identifying information on a pornographic Internet site. 16 (b) Sentence. A person who violates this Section is 17 guilty of a Class 4 felony. 18 (c) Definitions. For purposes of this Section: 19 (1) "Adult obscenity or child pornography Internet 20 site" means a site on the Internet that contains material 21 that is obscene as defined in Section 11-20 of this Code 22 or that is child pornography as defined in Section 23 11-20.1 of this Code. 24 (2) "Internet" includes the World Wide Web, 25 electronic mail, a news group posting, or Internet file 26 transfer. 27 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 28 becoming law.
