1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3181
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3181, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT in relation to address changes resulting from the
5 implementation of 9-1-1 systems, amending named Acts."; and
6 by inserting below Section 5 the following:
7 "Section 10. The Emergency Telephone System Act is
8 amended by adding Section 10.3 as follows:
9 (50 ILCS 750/10.3 new)
10 Sec. 10.3. Notice of address change. The Emergency
11 Telephone System Board in any county implementing a 9-1-1
12 system that changes any person's address (when the person
13 whose address has changed has not moved to a new residence)
14 shall notify the person (i) of the person's new address and
15 (ii) that the person should contact the local election
16 authority to determine if the person should re-register to
17 vote.".
