DNR-GROUNDWATER & AQUIFER SYS                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Directs the Department of Natural Resources to conduct a study         
   of the groundwater and aquifer system of Illinois. Calls for a report       
   by November 1, 2001.                                                        
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Directs the Department of Natural Resources to develop a plan for      
   the study to be submitted to the Senate by November 1, 2001, and            
   requires a report of its findings by January 1, 2003.
