Requires the Department of Public Health, in cooperation with the Department of Professional Regulation, to work with licensed health care facilities and licensed health care professionals to develop policies and procedures that address the issue of postpartum depression. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 20 ILCS 2305/8.5 new Adds reference to: 20 ILCS 1305/10-7 new Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Department of Human Services Act. Requires the Department of Human Services, in cooperation with the Department of Professional Regulation, to work with licensed health care facilities and licensed health care professionals to develop policies and procedures that address the issue of postpartum depression. Provides that the Department of Human Services shall develop and distribute a brochure or other information about the signs, symptoms, screening or detection techniques, and care for postpartum depression.
