Makes a technical change to a Section concerning committees of political parties. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 10 ILCS 5/7-8 Adds reference to: 10 ILCS 5/1A-16 new 10 ILCS 5/7-9 15 ILCS 305/14 new Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Election Code and the Secretary of State Act. Requires the State Board of Elections and the Secretary of State to post certain voter registration information on their World Wide Web sites. In counties of 3,000,000 or more population, provides that, in a political party with an "Alternative A" type State central committee composition, a county central committee chairman taking office after the bill's effective date need not be a member of the committee. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE, H-AM 1 (State Board of Elections) SB 1732, with H-am 1, would cost the State Board of Elections approximately $10,000 to hire as a consultant a bi-lingual translator.
