Short description: 
PEN CD-DNST TCHR-BD PRESIDENT                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends  the  Downstate  Teacher  Article  of  the  Pension  Code.      
   Removes the State  Superintendent  of  Education  from  the  Board  of      
   Trustees.   Provides  that  the  Board shall annually elect one of its      
   members to act as president.  Effective immediately.                        
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          SB 1344 has no fiscal impact on TRS.
