Short description: 
MEDICAID-NURSING HOME DEATHS                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the "Medicaid" Article of the Illinois  Public  Aid  Code.      
   Requires  nursing  homes to report to the Department of Public Aid the      
   death of a resident or the discharge of a resident.  Requires that the      
   report be made within 5 working days after the death or discharge, and      
   provides for a civil penalty of not more than  $100  per  day  if  the      
   report is made late.  Effective January 1, 2002.
