Contains only a short title provision. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: New Act Adds reference to: 330 ILCS 60/1 from Ch. 126 1/2, par. 29 330 ILCS 60/5.3 new Deletes everything. Amends the Service Men's Employment Tenure Act. Changes the short title to the Service Men's Employment Tenure and Civil Relief Act. Provides that a person who is a member of the Illinois National Guard and who is called to active status shall be accorded all of the rights and privileges under the laws of this State that are accorded to federal military personnel under the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 if the person called to active status complies with the notice procedures set forth in the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940. Provides that a person who is a member of the federal military and who is called to active status shall be accorded all of the rights and privileges under the laws of this State that are accorded to the person under the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 if the person called to active status complies with the notice procedures set forth in the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940. Provides that a person who has provided notice under the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 shall, within 60 days after the termination of his or her active status, provide written notice of the termination of his or her active status to the person to whom notice was provided. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 330 ILCS 60/1 330 ILCS 60/5.3 new Adds reference to: 20 ILCS 1805/100.5 new Deletes everything. Amends the Military Code of Illinois. Provides that a person who is a member of the Illinois National Guard and who is on active duty shall be accorded all of the relief and benefits under the laws of this State that are accorded to federal military personnel on active duty under the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940. Requires that the member give notice of termination of his or her active duty within 60 days after that termination. Effective immediately.
