Senate Sponsors: OBAMA Short description: PUB AID-CHILD CARE-THRESHOLD Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. In the provisions concerning child care coverage from the Department of Public Aid, provides that the threshold for a family's eligibility for assistance shall be at least 55% of the then-current State median income for similar families. Deletes certain obsolete provisions. Provides that co-payments that parents must pay for child care services shall not be increased solely because of a fiscal year 2002 change in the methodology for counting family income.
