Provides that during an investigation of a case that may result in a defendant being charged with first degree murder or a Class X felony, every interview between a peace officer and a suspect or witness in that case must be videotaped. Provides that such videotapings are exempt from the provisions in the Criminal Code of 1961 that prohibit eavesdropping. Effective immediately.
