BURZYNSKI. (HOEFT-MITCHELL,JERRY-DELGADO-GILES-JOHNSON) 105 ILCS 5/2-3.2a new 105 ILCS 5/2-3.116 105 ILCS 5/3-9 from Ch. 122, par. 3-9 Amends the School Code. Allows the State Board of Education to require that the collection or transmission of any document, record, form, claim, proposal, other data, or funds (between the Board and any entity doing business with the agency) be handled by electronic transmission or collection. Provides that beginning July 1, 2002, all payments for school districts, regional offices of education, and other providers entitled to payment under State Board of Education programs must be disbursed by the Comptroller through electronic funds transfer, except as the State Board otherwise directs. Removes language that provides that in every instance possible (except by written agreement between school districts in an educational service region and a regional superintendent of schools directing that payments be made to the regional superintendent by the Comptroller), funds due to school districts shall be disbursed by the Comptroller through direct electronic transfer from the State school fund as directed by the State Board of Education. Makes other changes. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
