NOVAK. New Act Creates the Shell Egg Sales Act. Provides that a person engaged in business as a retailer of food for human consumption on the business premises may sell only pasteurized shell eggs for human consumption on those premises if: (1) in the course of that business, the person sells food for consumption by persons including those who are either (A) 8 years of age or younger or (B) 55 years of age or older and (2) the food sold for human consumption on the business premises includes shell eggs. Requires the Department of Public Health to administer the Act.
