1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of James M.
4 Beane Jr. of Virden on September 28, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Beane was born on June 20, 1929 in Newberry,
6 Massachusetts to James M. Beane Sr. and Elsa Elizabeth Ohlson
7 Beane; he married Ida D. Griffith on May 12, 1983; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Beane worked as a bell captain at the
9 Springfield Renaissance Hotel before retiring in 1997;
10 formerly he worked as a milk route employee for Prairie Farms
11 Dairy, as a plumber for Ralph Evans, and he also managed
12 various restaurants in the area; he was a member of the
13 Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden; and
14 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
15 and friends especially his wife, Ida; his three sons, James
16 D. (Rhonda) Beane, John K. Beane, and Joseph P. Beane; his
17 daughter Jacqueline A. (Steve) Jones; his two step-daughters,
18 Kelly A. Warren and Jill E. Flowers; his brother, Charles A.
19 (Anna) Beane; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and
20 nephews; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sadness
23 the death of James M. Beane Jr. and extend our sincere
24 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of James M. Beane Jr.
