92_SR0505 LRB9217847RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends 4 of Bob Furnace, who passed away on September, 6, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Bob Furnace served from 1998 to 2001 on the Park 6 Forest Village Board and remained active in the community 7 beyond that time; and 8 WHEREAS, Mr. Furnace regularly attended village board 9 meetings and participated in the community improvement 10 organization called FOCUS, as well as IDOSS, an independent 11 democratic organization; and 12 WHEREAS, Mr. Furnace was very involved in the community 13 and very involved in education for a number of years; most 14 recently, he worked as a negotiator for the Illinois 15 Education Association; he previously worked in Chicago 16 Heights School District 170; and 17 WHEREAS, Bob Furnace will be best remembered for being 18 passionate for his work and for aggressively pursuing issues 19 he thought would best serve the Park Forest community; he was 20 deeply dedicated to the residents of Park Forest and always 21 considered himself a champion for anyone who was the 22 underdog; therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 25 all who knew him, the death of Bob Furnace of Park Forest; 26 and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented to the family of Bob Furnace with our sincere 29 condolences.
