92_SR0491 LRB9217642RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Nellie Tillman, who passed away on August 13, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Nellie Tillman was born on April 2, 1929 in 6 Mississippi; she was the wife of the late Vernell Tillman; 7 and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Tillman had been a resident of Calumet City 9 since1985; she was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church since 10 1968 and served as president of the Mother's Board; and 11 WHEREAS, Mrs. Tillman strongly believed in family and 12 education; she will be remembered as always giving 13 encouraging words and a friendly smile; and 14 WHEREAS, The passing of Nellie Tillman will be deeply 15 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her children, 16 Matthew, Dovie, David, Mark, Shirley, Darlene, Sharon, 17 Veronica, Victor, Cynthia, Karen, Wilbur, and Maurice; her 21 18 grandchildren; and her 3 great-grandchildren; therefore, be 19 it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 22 all who knew her, the death of Nellie Tillman of Calumet 23 City; and be it further 24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 25 presented to the family of Nellie Tillman with our sincere 26 condolences.
