92_SR0490 LRB9217622RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends 4 of J. Robert Vonachen, who passed away on August 4, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Born on April 23, 1917 in Peoria, J. Robert 6 Vonachen is the son of the late Dr. John and Isabel Schulte 7 Vonachen; he married Helen Jean Brown on February 4, 1938 in 8 St. Louis, Missouri; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Vonachen attended Washington University in 10 St. Louis; and 11 WHEREAS, Working in the insurance, paper distribution, 12 and sanitary supply industries, Mr. Vonachen established 13 Vonachen Industrial Supplies in 1947, retiring in 1982; he 14 was a member of the International Sanitary Supply 15 Association, where he received the industry's "Distinguished 16 Service Award"; and 17 WHEREAS, Mr. Vonachen was a member of the Rotary Club of 18 Peoria and Standardized Sanitation Systems; and 19 WHEREAS, The passing of J. Robert Vonachen will be deeply 20 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, 21 Helen Jean; his sons, Jay (wife, Betty) and Rudy (wife, 22 Carol); his daughters, Susan (husband, William) Davidson, 23 Cassie (husband, Michael) Schmidt, and Amy (husband, Chuck) 24 Poparad; his sister, Molly McKown; his 13 grandchildren; and 25 his 14 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 28 all who knew him, the death of J. Robert Vonachen of Peoria, 29 Illinois; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be -2- LRB9217622RHrh 1 presented to the family of J.
