1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Madeline C. Alwan of Peoria, who
4 passed away June 28, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Madeline Alwan was born November 10, 1927, in
6 Peoria to Thomas and Effie Alwan Michael; and
7 WHEREAS, Madeline Alwan was a dietitian for 17 years at
8 Parc until her retirement in 1995; she was a member of the
9 Itoo Society and its ladies auxiliary and the American
10 Business Women's Association; and she was a member of Saint
11 Vincent de Paul Catholic Church; and
12 WHEREAS, Madeline Alwan will be deeply missed by all
13 those who knew her and loved her, especially her son, Mark,
14 and her two daughters, Debra (Michael) Alwan-Humkey and Renee
15 (Nicholas) Peters; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
18 her family and friends, the passing of Madeline C. Alwan; and
19 be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to the family of Madeline C. Alwan with our sincere
22 condolences.
