92_SR0439 LRB9216990RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends 4 of Phyllis A. Bucar, who passed away on May 18, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Phyllis A. Bucar was born on June 6, 1930 in 6 Spring Valley, Illinois to the late Elmer and Frances Roeder; 7 and 8 WHEREAS, Phyllis Bucar was a graduate of Tonica High 9 School in Illinois and received her bachelor's degree from 10 North Central College in Naperville; and 11 WHEREAS, Phyllis Bucar moved to Antioch in 1956 and was 12 active in the community as a member of the Antioch Women's 13 Club, Palette Masque and Lyre Theatre, and St. Peter Catholic 14 Church; in addition, she was a member of the Auxiliary to the 15 Illinois Optometric Association and the first Board of the 16 Lake County Special Education District and was a founder and 17 served on the board of the Susan Bucar Memorial Foundation; 18 and 19 WHEREAS, Phyllis Bucar was employed for many years as an 20 aide to State Senator Adeline Geo-Karis; and 21 WHEREAS, The passing of Phyllis Bucar will be deeply felt 22 by all who knew and loved her, especially her sons, Albert 23 Bruce Bucar and James (wife, Angela) Bucar, and her sister, 24 Donna (husband, Rev. Gordon) Carls; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 27 all who knew her, the death of Phyllis A. Bucar of Antioch, 28 Illinois; and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of Phyllis A.
