1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Michael Joseph Strayer of Edinburg,
4 who passed away March 19, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Strayer was born November 21, 1960, in
6 Springfield, the son of William H. and Cassandra Sue White
7 Strayer; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Strayer married Lori Pietrzak November 14,
9 1981, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in
10 Springfield; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Strayer was employed as a truck driver for
12 20 years, most recently with Shirley Trucking Company of
13 Chatham; he was a member of Teamsters Local 916; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Strayer will be deeply missed by all those
15 who knew him and loved him, especially his wife, Lori; his
16 three children, Nichole and Nathan Strayer and Josh Ceperich;
17 his mother, Suzie (Tom) Weiss; his father, William Strayer
18 Sr.; his grandparents, Warren and Virginia White; his
19 brothers, William (Valerie) Strayer Jr. and Robie Strayer;
20 his aunt; his uncles; and his several nieces and nephews;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all those who knew him and loved him, the death of Michael
25 Joseph Strayer of Edinburg; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Michael Joseph Strayer with our
28 sincere condolences.
