92_SR0361 LRB9216403BHbhA 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Paul "Moody" Spudich of Livingston, 4 who passed away February 27, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Spudich was born February 18, 1929, in 6 Livingston; he was the son of Roger and Anna Spudich; and 7 WHEREAS, Mr. Spudich worked as an Ironworker for 40 years 8 for Local 392 in East St. Louis and for Local 46 in 9 Springfield; and 10 WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army as a PFC 11 stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 12 1953 and was a member of VFW Post 1308 in Alton; and 13 WHEREAS, Mr. Spudich was elected to the IHSA "Friends of 14 Basketball" Hall of Fame in 1988; he was known throughout the 15 state for his attendance at basketball games and state 16 tournaments; and 17 WHEREAS, Mr. Spudich was a member of the Sacred Heart 18 Catholic Church in Livingston; and 19 WHEREAS, Mr. Spudich will be deeply missed by all those 20 who knew him and loved him, especially his four sisters and 21 brothers-in-law, Frances and Raymond Savant, Catherine and 22 Donald Wright, Cecelia and Joseph Lockhart, and Laura and 23 Richard Worms; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene 24 "Cheesy" and Martha Spudich, and Raymond "Joe" and Patricia 25 Spudich; and five nieces and two nephews; and 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 28 all those who knew him and loved him, the death of Paul 29 "Moody" Spudich; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be -2- LRB9216403BHbhA 1 presented to the family of Paul "Moody" Spudich with our 2 sincere condolences.
