1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Robert J. Filipowicz, who passed away on February 28,
5 2002; and
6 WHEREAS, A long time resident of Lake County, Mr.
7 Filipowicz was the son of Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Filipowicz will be remembered for his
10 military service in the Marine Corps Reserves; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Filipowicz was an eloquent speaker, avid
12 reader, and enjoyed traveling and cooking; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Filipowicz had a true appreciation of life
14 and lived his life to the fullest; and
15 WHEREAS, The passing of Robert J. Filipowicz will be
16 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his
17 wife, Lou Hoppe; his son, Jason; his grandchildren, Katelyn
18 and Kyle; his sister, Patricia (Richard) Juhrend; his
19 parents, Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz; and his friends
20 and co-workers; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
23 all who knew him, the death of Robert J. Filipowicz of Lake
24 County; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Robert J. Filipowicz with our
27 sincere condolences.
