92_SR0278 LRB9211326RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Ralph E. Dyer, who passed away on November 16, 2001; and 5 WHEREAS, Ralph E. Dyer was born on December 23, 1931 in 6 Springfield, Illinois to Harold and Augustine Van Fang Dyer; 7 he married the late Judith Jones in 1956 in Springfield; and 8 WHEREAS, Mr. Dyer was a United States Navy veteran and a 9 Sergeant for the Springfield Police Department, retiring in 10 1986 after 22 years; he also worked for Menard County Road 11 District 9 and as a security officer for the Illinois State 12 Senate; and 13 WHEREAS, Mr. Dyer was a member of Trinity United 14 Methodist Church, St. Paul's Lodge 500 AF&AM for 23 years, 15 and American Legion Post 32 for 15 years; and 16 WHEREAS, The passing of Ralph E. Dyer will be deeply felt 17 by all who knew and loved him, especially his fiancee, Rose 18 M. Libben; his son, David J. (wife, Jenifer) Dyer; his 19 daughters, Cindy J. (husband, Sam) Cooper, Vicky L. (husband, 20 Jerry) Rittenhouse, and Christine A. Agans; his nine 21 grandchildren; and his four nephews; therefore, be it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 24 all who knew him, the death of Ralph E. Dyer of Petersburg, 25 Illinois; and be it further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to the family of Ralph E. Dyer with our sincere 28 condolences.
