92_SR0247 LRB9210732RHrh 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Florence E. Dodds, who passed away on July 5, 2001; and 5 WHEREAS, Florence E. Dodds was born on December 24, 1914 6 in Marion, Ohio to Ray and Elizabeth Maag; she married the 7 late N. Sheldon Dodds on February 14, 1934 in Columbus; and 8 WHEREAS, Florence E. Dodds was a member of Epworth United 9 Methodist Church, the Church Altar Guild, the Marion Garden 10 Club, the Artisans Guild, Twig I and Twig II, and a volunteer 11 with Marion Manor Nursing Home; and 12 WHEREAS, Florence E. Dodds was a talented artist and 13 enjoyed pottery, oil painting, sewing, and couture 14 dressmaking; and 15 WHEREAS, The passing of Florence E. Dodds will be deeply 16 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her sons, 17 Daniel (wife, Terry) Dodds and David (wife, Pam) Dodds; her 18 daughter, Margo Schreiber; her 12 grandchildren; and her 7 19 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 22 all who knew her, the death of Florence E. Dodds of Marion, 23 Ohio; and be it further 24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 25 presented to the family of Florence E. Dodds with our sincere 26 condolences.
