92_SR0092 LRB9208556KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Beatty Taylor Burke III, of Carlinville, Illinois, who 5 passed away on March 18, 2001; and 6 WHEREAS, Beatty Burke was born near Carlinville on June 7 28, 1925; his parents were Beatty Taylor II and Clara 8 Shuttleworth Burke; on December 27, 1946 he married Marie 9 LeVora at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Carlinville, 10 Illinois; and 11 WHEREAS, Mr. Burke was a 1943 graduate of Carlinville 12 High School; he was a 1950 graduate of the St. Louis College 13 of Pharmacy; he was a veteran of the United States Coast 14 Guard, serving in the Pacific Theatre of Operations; and 15 WHEREAS, Beatty Burke was the owner and operator of Burke 16 Pharmacy from 1960 to 1993; he was a member of St. Paul's 17 Episcopal Church and the Carlinville Elks Club; he was a Life 18 Sponsor in Prepetuity for Ducks Unlimited; and he was a 33 19 Degree Mason with the Mt. Nebo Lodge; and 20 WHEREAS, The passing of Beatty Burke III will be deeply 21 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, 22 Marie; his daughter, Sharman Ann Burke; his sons, Beatty 23 Taylor Burke IV (wife, Beverly), and Scott J. Burke (wife, 24 Jeanne); his sister, Lucy S. Powell; and many nieces and 25 nephews; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 28 his family and friends, the death of Beatty Taylor Burke III; 29 and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Beatty Taylor Burke III.
