1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Curtis J. Bloome, who recently
4 passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Curtis J. Bloome was born in Decatur, Illinois
6 on December 29, 1941; and
7 WHEREAS, Curtis J. Bloome was a retired executive for the
8 Illinois Department of Natural Resources and a United States
9 Army veteran; he was a member of Southern Illinois Police
10 Chiefs Association, the Knights of Columbus Council 2076 in
11 Gillespie, and the Carlinville Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, The passing of Curtis J. Bloome will be deeply
14 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughters,
15 Margaret "Meme" (husband, Victor) Khong and Mary "Missy"
16 Bloome; his grandchildren, Matthew J. and Meaghan K. Khong;
17 his mother, Margaret Bloome; and his special friend, Glenna
18 Sledge and her family, Kevin, Sandy, and Porcia Sledge;
19 therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
22 all who knew him, the passing of Curtis J. Bloome of
23 Springfield, Illinois; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the family of Curtis J. Bloome.
