92_SB2103 LRB9216078RCcd 1 AN ACT concerning courts. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Supreme Court Act is amended by changing 5 Section 4 as follows: 6 (705 ILCS 5/4) (from Ch. 37, par. 9) 7 Sec. 4. If there is noshall not be aquorum of the 8 justices of thesaidsupreme court present on the first day 9 of any term, the court shall stand adjourned from day to day, 10 until a quorum shall attend; and if, from any cause, the 11 supreme court shall not sit on any day in a term after it 12 shall have opened, there shall be no discontinuance, but, as 13 soon as the cause is removed, the court shall proceed to 14 business until the end of the term, or until the business 15 depending before it shall be disposed of. 16 (Source: R.S. 1874, p. 327.)
